Biografi
From the grey parts of southern Sweden The Driftwood Sign was formed in the autumn of 2009 when the two brothers Anders and Nils who had been jamming for a while hooked up with Danny as drummer.
André soon joined in as bassist and they moved on to playing their own material, quickly beginning to develop their own style of playing based on numerous influences. All from softer ballads and 2000-rock-like songs to more heavy but yet easy listened music.
During the fall of 2010 a 4-song demo was released including the two well received songs, crowd pleaser Open Fields and the hard-hitting Not Yet Whole. The following spring of 2011 The Driftwood Sign played in the music competition Emergenza Festival where they won the district finals for the south of Sweden and Anders also won the award for best singer.
The band later came in joint 4th place at the country finals for Sweden. The fall of 2011 saw the release of two newly recorded songs, emotional rock ballad Enemies May Fall and the hard rock song After All showing off the heavier side of the band.
